Guarantees in Dog Training Outcomes
As professional dog trainers, we have signed a code of ethics to adhere to the following:
Trainers/behaviour consultants refrain from providing guarantees regarding the specific outcome of training and behaviour plans. (CCPDT)
Informing the guardian that no guarantees can be offered regarding the outcome of the training or behaviour program due to the nature of applied animal behaviour and limiting factors around the pet guardian such as time commitment, family circumstances, management practices and other environmental factors. (PPGA)
The “Quick fix” structure shows a lack of understanding of the time required to change certain canine behaviours, especially ones that are intense or have been ingrained for many years (VSA)
Dogs are living, breathing beings, not robots.
What we do guarantee:
· A commitment to help clients seek relief, change, and improvement in their pet’s behaviour
· Provide customised training plans for your dog or cat
· A commitment to excellence and to ongoing continuing education
· Provide you with methods and skills that are humane and based on current behavioural science
· To provide you with excellent customer service
Providing a guarantee in training outcomes is a red flag. 🚩
